Cross The Water is the first solo record by Daniel McGeever. It looks very beautiful among our lovely record collection and the album definitely does justice to his fine artistry! It was an especially nice surprise to get a shoutout in the thank you section of the record, right beside Liam and Noel!
A few years ago we worked together on an early demo of the track It's Not All Over Yet, an incredibly powerful song that I am honoured to have a connection to. You can hear the final version of the track below! The outro section is probably one of my favourite pieces of recorded music ever!

It's been a productive November! We hosted our first two qué pasa events since summer and finished up some deep funk that will hit your ears in December. Our new radio de nadas are available now and we ended the month with a trip to Barcelona to see Thundercat and of course, buy some records!
If you haven't already go check out our latest de nada Indian special.
Two years ago in a hotel room in Kerala, India we launched East Records with the dodgiest of internet connections. The aim was to release our music, give Edinburgh bands a different avenue with which to release theirs and eventually work with artists from all over the world. 2 years on and still without a reliable internet connection we are 8 albums in, we have a weekly radio show (de nada) and two live events a month (qué pasa). We have been across the world searching out the best records, in Edinburgh we hosted our first qué pasa Edinburgh with incredible support from our favourite bands / friends and in moving to Valencia we have found that music and art in general is thriving all over the world.
The musicians and artists we work with are constantly creating and in this spirit it is easy for us to feel inspired. Apparently the 'music business' is difficult but the kind words/support/encouragement we have had from people has kept us on the up! Over the last two years we hope we have championed local and international artists and shown off what Edinburgh (and now Valencia) has to offer, ...and it's just the beginning.
As we enter our terrible two's we aim to be funkier, louder and more challenging than ever before.
When Hobbits celebrate their birthday they buy everyone in the Shire a present, so in this spirit we offer you all a present.
